Zulu On Acid...Kanye Gets Progressive!

Tuesday, October 7, 2008

You gotta hand it to Kanye West. He is one rapper who never gives us a dull moment all the while dressed in a suit. "Love Lockdown" premiered...on all places, The Ellen DeGeneres Show (love her!)...and now it has made the rounds on the Internet video circuit. Slowly but surely MTV is becoming obsolete...possibly because they don't play anything near to what the title of the channel states...so now artists are debuting videos on such shows like Ellen to keep music somewhat alive, shame...Anyways...With 'Ye's fourth installment of his ode to that wretched auto tune, 808's and Heartbreak dropping in stores this November 25th, it's good to know that 'Ye hasn't lost his touch as he keeps hip-hop from being a hooligan fest and into it's true art form. Yes, hip-hop is an art form, especially when you get an innovative mind behind it. Kanye kept me entertained for about a good five minutes of this explosion of Zulu-esque proportions. The tribal drums, the native dances, the way Kanye looks like a man who lost his damn and is just wandering around a drab white draped room...I dig it.
