Album Watch: Be Able To Chase 'Waterfalls' Again...

Tuesday, November 4, 2008

We can probably all say that we miss TLC to the max. They were truly a one of a kind group that gave made us all feel well...crazy, sexy and cool all in one go, and that my dears is hard to do nowadays. It has been six years since the tragic death of TLC member, Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes, and since then TLC has never been the same. About two months ago, the family members of Left Eye have decided to open up the vaults and release an album chock filled with unreleased material from the singer, and TLC fans should be truly "diggin' this"...cause it's on like that. The 12-track Eye Legacy will be featuring collaborations from Missy Elliott, Bobby Valentino, Lil' Mama, late (and great) rapper Tupac Shakur and of course an unreleased track with her former group mates, T-Boz and Chili. And if that still doesn't rock your taco, Eye Legacy will also feature extended remixes of tracks from Left Eye's shelved first album, Supernova, as well as bonus video footage taken during Left Eye's last days. Whew! Now that's giving the fans what they want!

New track, "Let's Just Do It" surfaced about a couple of weeks ago and it features the gals of TLC...or rather T-Boz's signature husky vocals (Chili is oddly M.I.A.). The track has a great funky bass beat and it's pretty catchy. The track also shows how great of a floacist Left Eye really was, which makes us all wonder what things Left Eye could have accomplish if her life hadn't been cut short. Eye Legacy drops in stores January 27, 2009.
