Cover Smother: Wrapped Around My Finger

Thursday, January 29, 2009

Did you know that The Police are one of my favorite bands? Well, now you do. Even though I wasn't even alive (much less thought of) when Sting, Stewart and Andy were bopping around being all bleached blonde and lyrical smarty pants, they are essential to me like wine cooler Fridays with my divas. Their swan song, 1983's Synchronicity, is definitive not only because it's the band's last album, but because it features four monster hits. Do I really have to say what they are? Well, if anything, yes, this is the album that features the "stalker" song, "Every Breath You Take". Love this album (and the primary colored paint streaked cover) so much that I have it on vinyl, framed and on my wall among other framed albums, and only a elite few get that honor...yes, I'm dedicated like that.
