Sprinting The 100 Yard Dash With Raphael

Wednesday, January 28, 2009

Still keeping in flavor with his 60's soul jaunt, The Way I See It, Raphael Saddiq has unleashed a new vid that recalls those classic Stax and Motown days. The video is for single, "100 Yard Dash" and it's quiet the looker. It is nicely styled in black and white with images of a sharply dressed Raphael, his band mates and the unnamed "vixen". It has 1960's cinematic feel to it (think James Bond opening sequences) due to the bold fonts and colorization effects. While the premise is a little basic, a little goes a long way here and it makes for an entertaining view, especially if you love a little soul revival to help you get through your day. Seriously feeling the vibe of this vid.
