Album Watch: Joss Stone Is Back In Stride Again

Monday, March 2, 2009

Last year, there were mumblings of Joss Stone prepping to release a new album and now the whisper has turned into a scream, as Joss has unleashed some more tuneage to get her fans riled up for her return. Joss recently performed an intimate gig at The Picket in Liverpool, and previewed a couple of new tracks that she has been working on for her upcoming fourth album, entitled, Colour Me Free. From the sound of things, Joss hasn't lost her soulful footing, as each track shows the vocalist back in top form. The ode for all of us hard working girls, "Lady", rocks along on 70's funk chords while the punchy piano keys drive "Could Have Been You" along smoothly. These songs are just itching to be hits and it's making me hungry for the album's release, as I've missed Ms. Stone as of late. Check out the live performances of these tracks to get a taste of what's in store for later this year. The performance of "Could Have Been You" is after the jump...
