Before Annie, Amy, Adele, Alice, Joss and Duffy...there was Dusty. Dusty Springfield. 1969's Dusty In Memphis is the meat and potatoes of what soul music is all about...it fills you up and never disappoints. All the goods are on here, such as my favorite, "The Windmills Of Your Mind" and her rendition of "Son Of A Preacher Man". Oh, and dig on that beehive hair 'do...so perfectly coiffed. Now this my children is how a beehive is supposed to look...
