Cover Smother: Will The Real 'Epiphany' Cover Please Stand Up?

Wednesday, March 25, 2009

There are two covers for Chrisette Michele's upcoming sophomore effort, Epiphany (which drops in stores May 19th), that are floating around on the Internet. Too lazy to figure out which one was the real deal, so I will smother you with both of them. Still I'm thinking one of these has got to be the "deluxe-extended-monster-even-more-songs re-issue" album cover. But which one is better? Hmm...the top one has that teddy bear necklace (which I'm mesmerized by) but that last one...Chrisette's hair looks like it's got a life of its own in that pic...choices.

  1. The first one is apparently the album cover and the second is for the single, I think.

Either way, this is one album I'm certainly coppin' - no two ways about it, her debut was seriously overlooked. This girl has bags of talent and more besides, it's about time real talent got a look in.

  2. WOOSH is correct. I don't like either one of them. The same fool that went photoshop crazy on JHud's waist ran amok here as well. I don't like where this is going.

At the end of the day though, I'm more concerned about what's inside. I like Ephiphany but I'm expecting it to get a lot better from here.

  3. LOL and thanks Woosh, for the heads up on which one was which...and like you I'm going to be buying this because I LOVED her first album, it was criminally overlooked. "Be OK" was the jam and should've been her breakout hit IMO...

LOL @ Vivrant Thang, sooo true about the J. Hud cover!!! Sorry, but that was too photoshopped!

I think it's Chrisette's hair and the unimaginative font/design on both of them that makes them bland...I could've easily made these covers on my freebie PhotoPlus. But it's the contents that matters

  4. I think the first one is the album cover too. I don't know there is just something about it that really stands out.

  5. She's a gorgeous gal... but the first one does look like the actual cover!
