Solange Proves Why She Better Than That Other Knowles

Monday, March 2, 2009

What has the Knowles best kept secret, Solange Knowles been up to lately? She's been singing, wearing cute pink shoes and takin' names, that's what she's been doing. Solange was recently featured on AOL's The Bridge and performed a couple of tracks from her fine and ambitious sophomore, Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams as well as doing her take on Zero 7's "Destiny". While it's not up to snuff with Sia's vocal execution, Solange does do it excellent justice and proves once again that she's one to not push aside as a sibling act. After hearing her do an amazing job on MGMT's "Electric Feel" from a while back, I'm rooting for her to collaborate with some of the more trance/indie artists out there, I'd think she would reach a larger fanbase if she chose that route and just experimented with those types of artists. As far as little sisters of more famous ones goes, I'd like to pitch that Solange and Dannii Minogue get together and go bowling, for real...they need to do a song together. Check out the performances of 'T.O.N.Y." and "Destiny" below...a kickin' performance of "Sandcastle Disco" is after the jump...
