"Don't You Want Me"-The Human League (1981)

It's the eternal question: "Don't you want me baby?" And it's also the song that will eternally get branded in your brain long after you hear it. Once you hear that first line of:

"You were working as a waitress in a cocktail bar when I met you..." will unabashedly sing the rest of the song, out loud, in public, possibly annoying the people around you. So don't blame me if you do, blame The Human League for crafting one the 80's most catchiest and most coolest songs. Frigid synth-new wave soul is kind of my Achilles Heel, and groups like The Human League are what I go for whenever I want feel moody, wear lots of eyeliner and want to hear eerie synth infested love songs. The band had had moderate success prior to this song, but when they released their third album, Dare! in 1981 and unleashed "Don't You Want Me", it was all over...they were electro-pop royalty. As more die-hard League fans claim that this isn't their best song by a long shot, I don't claim to be a snob...this song is all kinds of awesome.

There are alot of icy fierce stares coming out of this video, as well as lots of eyeliner...To think that this amazing song is used in Swiffer sweeper commericals, sad...
