Album Watch: Van Hunt To Save You 'In Case Of Emergency'

Friday, May 1, 2009

Mr. Van Hunt is making it his mission to save the state of the music once again. Van's past record label, Blue Note, thought they could silence the independent soul man after shutting down the release of his massively leaked (and AMAZING) Popular album, but they have been duped. Van Hunt has been assuring his fans that he is indeed back in the studio and hard at work on new material. In addition, Van is about to treat his fans with an short music bundle of rare songs called, Use In Case Of Emergency, which is to released to the public on May 8th. Since I'm special, I got an exclusive listen to it, and it's quite divine. Look forward to tracks such as the punchy rock of "Man Of The Year" and a twisting funk piece cleverly named, "N.e.thing2getura10tion". Once again, Van Hunt shows that he really does eat, breath and live music. Van is also been busy with other projects such as writing short stories and a novel, and is "doing stuff to keep himself out of trouble"...or so the press release explained to me. Whatever Van does musically, I'm all ears. Be on the look out for Use In Case next week to save you from musical frustration.
