Cover Smother: How Perfect

Monday, May 25, 2009

Reminds me of summer...the dripping ice cream cone and Minnie Riperton's oh-so-honey sweet voice. The late Miss Riperton's most popular album, 1974's Perfect Angel, which featured her biggest hit, "Lovin' You", which unfortunately gets butchered and parodied often. She was such a classy lady. Also, I cannot believe that Maya Rudolph, of Saturday Night Live fame, is her daughter.

  1. I'm such a huge fan of this beautiful album. Honestly, I just want to fly over to America and rifle through your CD collection!

  2. If I could only go through your CD collection as well, Mike! I mean, all those Kylie, Dannii, Millie etc. stuff

I don't own this one, but my Dad has this album, and her greatest hits, but I remember nothing but good tunes from those. Minnie had quite a voice
