Class Act [Cover Smother Week]

Confession: I adore Patti Austin's music. And I adore this album. It's not as refined as some of her jazz recordings as its during the time where Quincy Jones tried to make her compete with the Madonna's of the world. Still I adore this even though its saturated in synths and drenched in drum machine acid wash of the 80's, and totally not Patti Austin. Aside from that, Patti's 1984 self-titled album is just as classy as the cover itself...that hat is fierce beyond belief.
