The Scramble: Thursday Take-Out

Thursday, July 16, 2009

*Studio Time: Christina Aguilera is not messing around with her new album, in addition to collaborations with Sia, Goldfrapp, Le Tigre, Ladytron, Linda Perry and Tricky Stewart...Miss Genie In A Bottle is recruiting Diplo & Switch for the project. Talk about an EPIC album on the horizon...

*Betcha Think This Song Is About You: It's common knowledge The Roots are the best house band on late night TV, but they have sealed their awesomeness by picking some rather interesting songs for particular guests who walk on the Late Night stage.

*Roll Bounce: Didn't make this up...raptress, Eve and Juno's Ellen Page are in a Drew Barrymore directed movie about a roller derby. Sounds quite fetching.

*Old Wise One: You've probably heard that actress, Nia Long has some things to say about Beyonce's "acting" gig, and you've also probably made plans to watch Love Jones and The Best Man in her honor.

*It's For Charity: Paolo Nutini is teaming up with Rod Stewart and the Rolling Stones' Ron Wood to collaborate on a song under charitable circumstances. No word on what the song will actually sound like, but something is a brewing...
