Audio Vision: A Vetern and a Rookie Light Up 'X Factor'

Sunday, December 6, 2009

Lucky minxes overseas got to see two dynamo performers on last night's The X-Factor (you know the talent search show that was the basis of American Idol). Who were these performing firecrackers? Uh...Janet Jackson and Lady GaGa, that's who. Yep, that package is entertainment, personified. Interesting we see a veteran performer and a rookie pop star perform on the same night...yet we get to see pop music in all of its varying stages. So what kind of dance wizardry, costume wonderment and other musical mayhem went down?

Janet Jackson blazed on stage to perform and oldie but goodie ("All For You") and a newbie ("Make Me") and well, obviously...she killed it. She took out in the back alley way, tortured, beat down and did the damn thing, no evidence left behind. Seriously, every time Janet performs, you feel like you are back in an arena seeing one of her elaborate concert shows, all that's missing is the slow jam segments on a bar stool and inviting a male guest on stage for a little hanky-panky. Literally, I was dancing in my seat to this performance.

Then Lady GaGa showed once again that pop performances aren't dead as she performed her current hit, "Bad Romance" with much homage to the music video right down to the ceramic bathtub. Whilst this wasn't her best performance of the song (her Klaus Nomi shoulder padded homage on Leno was mucho better), she still of course entertained and donned fake devil horns, possibly in an attempt further provoke all those Illuminati people?
