Audio Vision: Have An 'Endless Summer' With Oceana

Friday, June 15, 2012

Remember Oceana? No, not the indie rock band from Florida...Oceana the singer who hails from Germany and who had a delicious little album called Love Supply from way back in 2009? Well, you may have to dig in your memory bank for that, but in the meantime, get re-introduced to Oceana as she's back and she's a got a kicker of a summer song that is sure to have you sticking your feet in the sand and sipping Mojito's in no time.

I've been on the look-out for summer jams to make my annual summer playlist and "Endless Summer" fits like a glove. With a highly infections beat, brass back-up, and electric energy, "Endless Summer" is just simply loads of fun. Personally, I prefer the "Reggae Mix" of the track (as I have posted it above), which just beams down in warm abundance and has me ready to abandon the indoors and hit the beach.

"Endless Summer" is playing double duty not only as Oceana's newest single for a pending second album, but it has also been pegged as the official theme song for the UEFA Euro tournament in Poland and the Ukraine. Oceana is filling some big shoes for other football anthems as Shakira heralded the theme song in 2010 for the FIFA World Cup (remember "Waka Waka Shakira (This Time For Africa)"? I kind of don't...) and is in hopes of getting some international glow with this summery single. To be honest, I think she's well on her way.
