Album Watch: Jack Davey Begins With Side A On 'L0F!'

Friday, October 5, 2012

Poetically, Jack Davey describes her L0-F! project as "a girl, her shitty guitar, and introspective songwriting" --- well, it's really much more than that.

After being scared sexy at the visual for the excellent "Howl At The Moon", the J*DaVeY front-woman continues to let her Betty Davis freak flag fly in the raging wind with the first side to herL0-F! set. "Side A" is up for a stream and it's the grimy, grungy guitar grindage that you'd expect as far as the album title goes. Known for being the odd girl out, Jack Davey relishes in her riot guuurl steeze and taps into her love of Alternative with such tracks like the methodical "Tinted Windows" and very Runaways sounding, "Ride On". Flounder she doesn't, as she sounds right at home in this ambitious five-track set that is anything but ordinary. Note that this is Round 1 of the L0-F! gamut as "Side B" will debut a month from now, with the whole kit n' caboodle dropping down December 11th.

The evolution of Jack Davey forges on....
