His new album title might be extremely caramel corn corny (Unorthodox Jukebox...groan), but Bruno Mars' first single from it, "Locked Out of Heaven" is far from it. Okay, it really really sounds like a Police song that has gotten the Super Soaker treatment, but de do do do de da da da, I don't really care (and I say that as a Police fan).
At current, I need something, anything a little spunky, non-pretentious, and just smack to the wall energetic and from the pen of Mars he has scribed the kind of easy breezy delicacy that I've been desiring for awhile. I've waxed poetic about it already, but to add, Mars is citing that Jukebox will be a much more sensual affair that will feature zippo guest spots (odd considering his track record of being saddled with the likes of B.o.B and Travis McCoy, and sad because I sort of wanted him to join up with his tourmate, Janelle Monae) and have Mark Ronson, Jeff Bhasker, and Diplo at the production helm. If "Locked Out Of Heaven" is any indication, Jukebox will be quite the item to warm up the winter winds when it drops December 11th. Let Mars cast your cares away with his guitar bounce-y new single after the cut.
