Memories are often attached to music and there are just some songs that whenever they are played trigger all kinds of emotions, and the worst of the bunch are the tunes that froth up memories of heartbreak. Well, Daley is a braver person than I, because listening to songs that remind me of an old beau...well, that stuff hurts...but what is my bane is Daley's therapy as he croons about getting over a broken relationship through music on brand new single, a brooding R&B slow burner, "Songs That Remind Me Of You". The track is the lead-off single for Daley's brand new upcoming EP, and here we have a first listen and look to the shape of the project, as Daley also debuts a melancholic visual in tow (which you can view after the cut).
If this new song comes as a big surprise, note that the UK crooner hasn't exactly been slacking since he released his amazing debut EP, Those Who Wait in 2011. Just last year he released a hit duet with Jessie J ("Remember Me") and is currently putting the finishing touches on his long-awaited full-length debut, Days and Nights. The album will feature the helping hands of Pharrell and The Roots, and that right there is nothing short of fantasmical.
