Big Big Love

Montages from 80's movies are my little sordid guilty pleasure. I mean, how can you not love seeing actors do mundane things set to fantastic soundtracks? Forget cowbell, we need more montages in movies. Jamie Lidell gives a call to arms to bring the montage back for the visual to his bombastic synth n' drum machine single, "Big Love". Somehow I had a different music video racing through my mind whenever "Big Love" thunders in, but one thing I got right is that it was going to involve a montage in some way. For some reason things start off like the beginning of Beverley Hills Cop and then it turns into one of those 'slice of life' Reading Rainbow segments where we see the adorable dancers of Cincinnati's own QKidz Dance Team as they show off their fabulous dance moves, pretty much stealing the show from Lidell and giving me serious flashbacks of when I was on the baton team in elementary. Ha.
