HAIM Change Their Minds

Tuesday, February 25, 2014

Oh joy!

My favorite song (or one of my many favorites) off of Haim's excellent, Days Are Gone, "If I Could Change Your Mind", has gotten the glossy visual treatment that double dips nicely in nostalgia and modern hipsterdom and proves to be a wonderful yet surprising detour for them. Evoking images of '60s variety shows, with a little bit of Grease, The Beatles, and '90s girl group steeze tossed in, Haim continue their cruise control into goodness with this impeccably shot Warren Fu (see Daft Punk's "Lose Yourself To Dance" and "Instant Crush") directed visual. Noted choreographer Fatima Robinson, who was behind all of Aaliyah's slinky sways, passes along some of those hips don't lie moves to the sisters Haim and pull it off the flair they do.

Such a good look this visual is.
